The Wolves have exploded for 27 goals in their last five outings after scoring just 10 markers in their previous five tilts; Chicago is averaging 3.09 goals-per-game this season, which shares ninth in the AHL.

--- Spencer Machacek: Shared the team lead with five points (3G, 2A) in three games this week ... Ranks second on the Wolves and shares 13th in the AHL with 10 goals and ranks fourth on the team with 19 points in 23 games this season ... Ranks second on the team with a +5 plus/minus rating ... --- Darren Haydar: Recorded a team season-high four points (2G, 2A) on Saturday ... Paces the Wolves and shares seventh in the AHL with 11 goals and ranks third on the team and is tied for 18th in the league with 21 points in 23 games this season ... --- Jason Krog: Dished out a team season-most three assists on Saturday ... --- Jared Ross: Collected eight points (3G, 5A) in his last five games, which includes notching multiple-points in three of those tilts ... Ranks second on the Wolves and shares fifth in the AHL with 16 assists and shares first on the team and 15th in the league with 22 points in 23 games this season ... Paces the team with a +6 plus/minus rating ...

--- Nigel Dawes: Shared the team lead with five points (3G, 2A) in three games this week, which includes posting his first multiple-point outing of the season on Nov. 23 (2G, A) ... Collected seven points (4G, 3A) during a current five-game point streak ... Shares fourth on the Wolves with six goals and sixth with 12 points in 17 games this season

 

WOLF TRACKS


--- The Wolves bagged five power-play markers on seven chances on Saturday, a season-high and the most since the team potted five man-advantage markers on Nov. 24, 2007 against Rockford; Chicago ranks first in the league with a 24.5 conversion rate on the power play (26 of 106).

--- Center Andre Deveaux potted his team-leading fifth power-play goal of the season on Saturday, which shares fifth in the AHL; the 26-year-old forward ranks third on the team with nine goals overall and holds fifth with 16 points in 23 games this season.

--- Chicago’s 10-8 loss to Grand Rapids on Saturday was the first time in the team’s 17-year history it has lost a game when scoring eight goals; the 10 goals allowed were the most markers surrendered on home ice in franchise history and the teams’ 10 combined goals in the second period was also a franchise record.

--- Center Ryan Garbutt tallied the team’s third short-handed strike of the season on Saturday, which shares ninth in the league; the club scored 14 shorties in 80 games last year, which ranked fifth in the AHL.

--- The Wolves haven’t surrendered a power-play goal in their last two outings, the first time this season they have been perfect on the penalty kill in back-to-back games; Chicago ranks 30th in the AHL with a 71.8 efficiency rating on the penalty kill (79 of 110).

THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED


--- After Tuesday’s home game against Manitoba, the Wolves will play seven of their next eight contests away from the Allstate Arena; Chicago, which snapped a seven-game road losing streak on Friday, has posted a 4-8-1-0 road record this season.

--- The Wolves and Grand Rapids Griffins combined for 18 goals in a wild offensive explosion at the Allstate Arena, but the Griffins managed to eek out the victory with an eventual 10-8 win
--- Right wing Darren Haydar (2G, 2A) led a pack of six Wolves that notched multiple-points
--- Goaltenders Edward Pasquale (18 of 24) and Peter Mannino (four of seven) split time in PASQUALE’S loss

Fri., Nov. 26

--- Right wing Spencer Machacek lit the lamp 2:07 into overtime to lift the Chicago Wolves to a 3-2 victory over the Peoria Rivermen at Carver Arena
--- Defenseman Paul Postma and center Jared Ross potted the other goals for Chicago
--- Goaltender Peter Mannino kicked out 33 of 35 shots to collect his fourth straight win

--- The Wolves collected their third straight win, a 6-3 victory over the Lake Erie Monsters at the Allstate Arena
