LAIN registered 8 goals, 16 points, and 111 penalty minutes in 32 games with Lake Superior State University (CCHA) this season. The 23-year-old forward was signed by the Canucks as a free agent on March 16 after he completed his junior campaign with the Lakers.

Overall, the Oakville, Ontario, native accumulated 21 goals, 39 points, and 210 penalty minutes in 108 games with Lake Superior State spanning three seasons (2010-13).

BLAIN ranks second on Idaho and shares 11th among ECHL defensemen with 31 points (7G, 24A) in 47 games with the Steelheads during his professional debut this season.
