The Chicago Wolves have reached a one-year affiliation agreement with the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League.

“The Missouri Mavericks are a very professional and well-run organization,” said Wolves General Manager Wendell Young.  “Their organization shares our perspective when it comes to running a hockey team and we are proud to partner with such a successful franchise. I think this will be a great relationship”

The Missouri Mavericks play at the 5,800 seat Independence Events Center in Independence, Mo., and averaged 5,406 fans per game during the 2010-11 season. The Mavericks were honored as the CHL’s Franchise of the Year last season, just their second in the league. On the ice, Missouri registered a 37-23-6 record last year and reached the Conference Semifinals in the 2011 CHL playoffs.
