Community Relations Intern - Gamedays

The Chicago Wolves are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible individual with a passion for fundraising and giving back to serve as the Community Relations Intern on gamedays during the 2015-16 season. The position provides a great opportunity to interact with fans and to learn about the community relations of a professional sports team by working alongside the Community Relations Coordinator at home games, and is also a great opportunity to get started in the sports industry. This is a part-time, paid position.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate team’s various charitable initiatives including 50/50 raffle sales, Chuck-A-Puck sales, silent auctions, merchandise sales, and more
  • Assist in executing game-day fundraising events including specialty jersey auctions and raffles, puck sales, and more
  • Provide excellent customer service and answer questions for fans as needed
  • Assist in the set-up and breakdown of the Customer Service Booth

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Helpful, enthusiastic, and friendly
  • Available to work all home games (October through April and playoffs, as needed)

Game Operations

Wolf Pack Promotional Team

The Chicago Wolves are seeking enthusiastic, outgoing, and responsible women to serve as members of our Wolf Pack promotional team for the 2015-16 season. The position provides a great opportunity to interact with fans and to learn about the operations of a professional sports team by assisting with in-game promotions and contests during all home games.

Game-Day Entertainment Crew—Spirit Team

The Chicago Wolves are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to serve as members of our Spirit Team for the 2015-16 season. The position provides a great opportunity to interact with fans and to learn about the operations of a professional sports team by working home games and events. It is also a great opportunity to get started in the sports industry and build your resume.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, operate, and manage the team’s fan-interactive Kids Zone
  • Facilitate team’s various charitable initiatives, including 50/50 raffle sales, Chuck-A-Puck sales, and charity drive collections
  • Assist with team’s mid-season and year-end merchandise sales
  • Assist with other non-game events (optional)

Graphic Designer Internship

The Chicago Wolves are hiring a full-time graphic designer intern. He/she will work with the creative services department and assist in day-to-day maintenance of ChicagoWolves.com. Ideal candidates have some experience, a willingness to learn, strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conceptualize and produce creative for integrated campaigns on multiple platforms
  • Design for print, web, and video elements including but not limited to: advertising, marketing collateral, promotional materials, signage, web pages, ad banners, fan downloads, video broadcast and in-arena graphics.
  • Strong understanding in working with print vendors to provide press-ready artwork for production
  • Assist in maintaining digital photo archives
  • Collaborate with the creative and TV departments and other team members
  • Ability to create infographics
  • Assist in taking product shots of merchandise
  • Work home and away games

  • Represent the team in a positive and professional manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic/visual communications or a similar discipline.
  • Must be proficient with Mac, Adobe Creative Suite (CS5), specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and Microsoft Office (Additional knowledge in After Effects or Cinema 4D is especially helpful)
  • Strong ability to multi-task with a strong attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Familiarity with printing and production processes is necessary
  • Have a working knowledge or prior experience designing animation and motion graphics is a plus
  • Experience in green screen production and postproduction is a plus as well
  • Familiarity with Joomla structures and module positions is an added bonus
  • Interest in social fan engagement and integration
